Scrapbook Timesaving Tips

Scrapbooking is an activity that takes time. It may even last all night if you’re in the mood! if you don’t have that much time to dedicate to your hobby? The following are a few timesaving tips to help you get the most out of your time:

Gather all photos for a single layout. Choose coordinating papers, embellishments, etc. Also jot down a layout idea for your page. Put all in a storage size zip-lock bag. When you’re ready to scrap, merely pull a baggie out of storage and you do not even have to think at all about what to do. All you have to do is cut and paste!

Another idea is to use a transparency when you’re journaling. This way you won’t have to print on paper before you adhere it to your page. A transparency is, well, transparent, so it will look like it’s not even there when you stick it on the scrapbook page. I use Mono Adhesive since it is clear and can barely be seen. You can use brads, vellum adhesive, or other clear adhesives for it.

Do a little at a time. If you find that you have a spare ten minutes, cut the mats for the photographs and adhere the pictures to them. Make embellishments, compose the journaling, anything else that allow you to piece the pages together faster so that it will be less stressful.

Have all of your supplies in one area so that you are not scurrying around everywhere looking for things. Another way to make it easier is to store your supplies in portable drawers. That way you can take them to wherever you desire to work on them.
